The Adult Program empowers parents by helping
them to identify their problems and find practical solutions through the following
activities:
Monthly Parent Support Group Meetings focus on issues relevant to the needs of families
who participate.
Informal and Formal Education which
may include open discussions, seminars, panel
discussions, and formal presentations, addresses
prevailing issues and concerns of the families.
Food Pantry provides monthly
distribution of groceries to families in need.
Clothes Closet provides monthly
distribution of clothing to families in need.
Health and Wellness Program uses a certified trainer and nutritionist to educate
and help families develop individualized health
and fitness plans.
Career Development and Job Referral Program includes resume writing support, interviewing
techniques, and job networking opportunities.
Limited Emergency Assistance Program available for active members in good standing.
Financial Planning Workshops that include family budgeting, college planning,
investments, and retirement planning.
Recreational Trips designed
for adults, children and families, provide a diversion
for family members and take them beyond their
neighborhood.
Monthly Birthday Celebrations recognize the worth and value of each individual.
Thanksgiving Food Basket preparation
and distribution for families based on number
of members per household.
Community Outreach Program incorporates
projects designed to involve parent members and
their children in giving back to the community.
Furniture/Household Appliances that are donated are shared with families as they
become available.
All services are provided without cost or
obligation to the families within a caring environment.
All group activities are provided by the volunteer
services of the seven founding officers along
with 23 other support volunteers.
